    Driveshaft Spline Grease

While searching for which grease to use on the splines I came across a post suggesting this: http://www.amcarinc.com/en/products/...se-with-5-moly

Unfortunately I cannot find the Bentley listed grease or the above locally. I was able to find the Valvoline Dura Blend which claims to be "Moly-Fortified"

Will this be sufficient for the splines or should I look to order something online?

    Thanks

you mean grease for the front IX driveshaft splines ?

if so go to your local BMW motorcycle dealer and ask for a tube of driveshaft grease/lube and you'll know you have the right stuff.

I'm referring to the splines at the middle of the driveshaft by where the CSB connects on a 325is.

The closest BMW Motorcycle dealer is 85 miles away and the e30 is my only transportation while my girlfriend is out of town so I'll have to order something online if this won't work.

Any grease is fine for the drive shaft splines, but a synthetic seems to resist wash out better.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.
