Want to swap an open diff into 87 325

Hi, id like to get an open diff that fits my 87 325i. Want to have a welded diff for drifting.

Currently has the limited slip stock dif, and i dont care to tear through that when welding an open diff is so simple.

What chassis of bmw have an open diff that will fit into my e30?

    e36 325?

    Thanks,

    Dan

    Manual 325i e30, e28, e24, z3.

You may have to swap covers and output flanges to fit them to e30. But, both very easy parts to swap.

For drifting, I'd think that you'd want a 4.10 and it should not be hard to find one of those from an E30 that is not an LSD.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

I think mine is a 3.90 or 4.10 open. I have an early 318i manual coupe if that helps, but I'm pretty sure you will want a medium case not the small case diff my car has

            So many responses...

Look for an open 3.73 or 4.10 diff from a 325i E30. It is the larger case and swaps right in.

Shipping a diff is usually around $100 last I remember/
