I think I have oil in clutch, what to do?

My oil pan gasket recently shat its self in the real, dumping oil into the bell housing(car was parked on a steep incline). I replaced the gasket and she's now beautifully leak free for a hard 15 mile drive. But, the clutch is now slipping on engagement. The clutch is 18 months old and stuck hard and fast prior to the leak. It's not so bad that I can spin it after its engaged, but fast hard shifts don't lock as fast. Feels like a bad clutch.

I'm assuming there is a little oil on the clutch. What should I do about that? I know you can burn flywheels and clutches, ruining them. Am I in danger of this? Dropping the transmission for another clutch is near the last thing I want to do :(

If the car has an OE type clutch oil will soak into the clutch disk. While there is a chance that it may clean up on it's own, the real fix is to replace the clutch disk.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

Well #%*&. Any harm then in letting it continue as is for a while, and see if it clears up? There isn't any way this would cause the clutch to shatter and do damage to anything else, right?

I would drive it easy for a bit and see if it will clear up. I had a used spec Stage III+ on my cobalt it did the same thing for about a week until one day it just stopped.
