replacing guibo hot to tighten bolts?

im on jack stands the torque spec is 78ft lbs
my impact is a peice of crap or at least my compressor is, im finding it difficult to get them to spec im using new hardwar w "self locking" nuts..any tips?
will these stay on since they are locking?
do these nuts preclude the use of locktite?>

No locktite needed. Use a torque wrench to tighten them to spec

I find it helpful to position the drive shaft so access to 1 or 2 bolts is good and apply the parking brake. Torque those bolts, release brake, move driveshaft, etc. til done.
