    Auto to Manual swap assistance

I've read every thread on here and other sites about the swap. Some have pictures of the parts needed, others don't.

Long story short, I bought an 89 325i auto with a dead tranny. The seller gave me "all the parts needed" for the swap. I bought the car site unseen and had it shipped to me. I know it was risky, but it was pretty cheap and what can I say? I'm a risk taker.

I examined the parts for the first time last night. Everything didn't look the same as the threads I've read, but I am no expert. Can you guys help me figure out what's right and what's missing?

This does not look like the flywheels I've seen for my car... Is this a dual mass instead of single?

The pedal seems to be missing a lot and is that slave cylinder right?

I can't upload any more pics in this thread on my phone, so to be continued...

Here's the "drive shaft". He cut it off, so I don't know if this can be connected to the remainder of my current shaft or if its toast.

The flex disc in the drive shaft is WAY smaller than the one on the tranny... What's up with that?

I'd have to go home and look on the flywheel, something does seem weird about it, just can't place my finger on it. You have part of the pedal assembly, you have the pedal, MC, and slave cylinder right there. You'll need the mounting bracket crap for in the car. That's the correct tranny, I just pulled one out of my car.

Did some digging. I have a late eta tranny. That flywheel is dual mass, because lat model etas used dual mass. Apparently I can make this work, but I need a few extra things.

The transmission should work, but you need the single mass M20B25 flywheel and the matching clutch. The drive shaft is a throw away. You need one from any 325 car with a manual transmission. You may also will need need to change the transmission out flange to to one that accepts the small quibo, depending on what drive shaft you find.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

"The seller gave me "all the parts needed" for the swap. "

with the drive shaft being a piece of trash and the wrong clutch and output flange on transmission i would say he straight up lied to you. Who is this seller so we know not to buy from him?

I got an auto trans if you want to put one while you look for the stuff, and there are a few guys with the big guibo drive shaft in the for sale section.

What kind of stuff will they have that I need? I'd live if you would ask around! Thanks!

As for getting an auto tranny in the mean time, the problem is I live in Canada, and shipping up here on something that big would require a second mortgage on my house... I'll hit pick n pull when they have an auto.
