    G240 to G260 linkage swap?

I have a 325 (G260) with a super sloppy linkage, and then I have my old (totaled) 318 with the G240, that has a very tight, limited slop linkage.

My question is, can I swap the 318's linkage to the 325...?

I haven't found any straight answers on this in my searching, I believe the throw is longer on the 318, but other than that I have not found much on differences in the actual mounting of the two. The tranny's are in different positions, correct? Would this cause issues?

    Thanks in advance guys.

Check the part numbers of the shifter parts on realoem.com. If they aren't the same it won't work. But rebuilding your shifter will tighten it up.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

Thanks, I ended up buying a full rebuild kit (all new bushings and such) from Pelican, I'm going to steal the expensive parts from the 240 though. Most all of the part #'s matched up, but just the bushings are cheap enough so I figured I'd just go with new.
