    Clutch pedal travel.

Clutch needs only to be depressed less than an inch to free motor. Did the clutch test this morning. 2nd 4th & 5 gear. car stalled immediately. Gears grind somtimes shifting to reverse second and 5th.
Does this defiantly mean i need new diaphram plate and bearing?
The day I bought my e30, was the day I became sophisticated and classy as fuck.

Sorry for asking, but what is the clutch test? The synchros and 2nd and reverse are always the first to go, which could cause the grinding there. If the clutch is releasing that close to the top of the travel, pushing the pedal down all the way will move the fingers on the pressure plate over center and keep the clutch from disengaging.
