sorry for noob question - upgraded flywheel/clutch for m52 with g260?

sorry for the "noob" style question, but i keep seeing conflicting info all over the web... even HERE on r3v... yes, i have searched!

looking to upgrade my clutch and flywheel in my e30 with M52 and G260.

currently has a M20 setup, but plan on making more power and tracking the car, so looking to upgrade.

i'd like to run an S50 or a M52 lightweight flywheel - but different part numbers. even JB lists 2 numbers. which fits?

also - what pilot bearing with either setup for a G260? i am assuming also a M20 throwout bearing as i'm keeping the G260?

i know starter needs to also match the flywheel.

again, sorry for the noob question, but i'm looking to do this once and right.

    thanks.

I run a 13lb s50 fidanza flywheel and stock s50 clutch on my s50/g260 swap. Works very well with a turner chip. Even on a stock tune though it ran well. I use an m20 pilot bearing and the s50 throw out bearing. I either have the "getrag rattle" or a bad throw out bearing because it makes noise when I don't have the clutch pedal depressed.

You can use any of the M20, M50, M52, S50, S52 flywheels. Just match your clutch choice with your flywheel choice.

Use throw out bearing and pilot that match the gearbox.

Any s52/m52 clutch works; I just did an enduro race weekend with m52+zf 5 speed and m20 clutch/fly set.

If you like the single mass m20 flywheel weight then a aftermarket pressure plate and friction disc can be paired for even more torque capacity.

M20 original clutch is fine for m52+track race use if drivers are smooth and kind shifting

I've also been looking into what flywheel clutch starter to use for e30 s50 g260. i want a lightweight flywheel and the fading looks nice but on the the websites it says you must use an s52 clutch for it, but your using an s50 clutch. does s50 clutch work well with it? and also what starter are you using? just typical s50 starter?

Pretty sure s50/52 clutch is the same. Check part numbers.
