    Value of getreg 260

So after modifying a junk shiftier to make sure it was going into reverse we have found that my reverse gear is GONE. Anyways I know someone who is checking there shop. They may have one laying around. I know that there are two in my local pick and pull and if I take them a core trans I will get it for $73.11+ tax. However that means that I have to pull a transmission in gravel as none of the motors have cylinder heads. Anyways what would be a good value on a decent shape getreg 260. I am thinking of throwing a $100 his way if he has it at the shop. I would not want to pull one for money is tight so ~$80 sounds good to me right now as I know two 325is cars have the trans in them. Also since my car has an eta transmission from an 85 car it has the old style shift linkage that I would love to toss into the trash. That being said whats the going rate for a getreg 260.

I don't know what it would go for where you are, but I'd expect to pay $200-250 for an "known good" transmission pulled from a low mileage (less than 100k) car. By "known good" I mean from a car that could be driven to assess the condition of the transmission. Anything else is a roll of the dice and should cost less.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.
