Groan and vibration in rear of car

My wife's 325e auto has a condition that when driving it has a small vibration and a loud houl. Not pinion whine. But if you make a right hand turn it goes away completely. I replaced the left hand half shaft and it did not do any good. The surface had no indications of wear. And the old cv had no binding issues. Btw the driveshaft is good and the u joints are as we'll.

    Any ideas?

My next task is to replace the other half shaft and the diff because I have them sitting on a shelf.

Sounds like the output shaft bearings. When you make a turn you put load on the bearing races.

The first thing I'd suspect with those symptoms would be a bad wheel bearing.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

Found it at vatozone, I'm sure it will spin for about 20k miles before it starts to hum

Jim you hit it on the head, it could be a royal pain in the ass without the right tools.
