Wheel cleaner to clean a transmission?

Has anybody ever used wheel cleaner to clean the case of a transmission? I think it would give a good result...

If not,w hat do you recommend (Except super clean or marine clean or other similar product...)

Engine degreaser heavy duty gel, brush for scrubbing and a pressure washer if you have, if not a hose.

Not sure if that falls into your "similar product" worst case whatever cleaner you have to use and again pressure washer or hose.
