So I pulled a junkyard getreg 260 to replace my busted unit. Anyways the red or green tag is gone. Still has sticker residue from where one once was. Came out of an 88 325is if that matter. It also uses the 17mm allen key style bolt. I want to buy fluid for it locally. What could I buy to use that would work 100% that I could pick up within the next day.

A search would have answered the question, but I'll repeat what I've found...
As far as I can tell by looking at the part numbers of the internals of the transmission there are no changes that remotely correspond to the various "stickers". That suggests that the "sicker" was for the techs that might need to top up the transmission fluid with a compatible type. If you drain the fluid you refill with Redline MTL, MT90, or ATF.The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

Sounds good. Most searches and no specific answer. I was going go with the mt90. If I can't find that then some at will do the job.1987 325is- $700 project car
