    Ebay "drift shifter?"

Alright so im hoping i dont get yelled at for another "ebay shifter" question but.... I found this one today on Ebay.

So im thinking it would essentially replace the carrier and then you would just attach the selector rod to the fixed joint on the bottom. Does that sound right and of course i want opinions on potentially running this shifter, hopefully without getting flamed.
    Thanks in advance.

How would it fit into the shift tower carrier (idk if thats the right name for it). That metal piece that runs on top of and parallel to the selector rod
    Number 1 in this diagram:

EDIT: oh wait nvm I see, it bolts on directly to the floor of the car. So you eliminate the tower carrier completely? Also the selector rod would be angled upward. Not sure what effect that would have. Maybe someone else can chime in lol. May I ask why this shifter in particular?

Had a high boy shifter in my last drift car (240) and loved it and have been debating building one for this e30 but then happened upon this.
I noticed the possible angle increase of the selector rod also but if need be i can modify or fabricate a new selector rod (I have plenty of fab experience)

I believe your correct from the looks of it. looks like it sandwiches on both sides of the sheet metal in the original hole and you remove the stock carrier entirely.

Looks like some strange polish engineering.

Looks pretty cool but I'd be weary of how much throw it has.

If you wanna cheap out just cut up an early model carrier, bolt it to the tunnel and put in a lever with a long bottom section/weld in an extension and call it good. Will take some time to get right but you'll save quite a lot.

I'd be weary of that thing.

I don't have anything bad to say on the AKG shifter but of course it's not cheap!

You could just go with an E60 short shift kit from TheGoodGuy. Tall lever and short throw.

Things like this are usually a bad sign

Top mount (Alu Domlager) rear pillow, shock absorbers

Made from aluminium for construction aircraft
But who knows, it may be decent?

I dig the OE parts usage, maximum respect.
