SPigot bearing setup on the M20

    Hi fellas

Heres the go. I have an m20b25 Engine which is/was auto. I am in the process of converting it over.

I have a getrag 240 I am putting in. Here are the questions I wish to know as the real OEM program doesnt really give me a good indication of what I REALLY need.

    1. On the automatic version of the M20b25, I could be wrong but it almost looks like brass bush that is in the end of the crankshaft.. is this the case? If there is indeed something in the crankshaft, does it need to be removed in order to push the spigot bearing in.

    2. On the realoem fische the following diagram is displayed

I have the bearing, but I dont have (2- covering plate), (3- feltring), (4- covering cap). Are these things really required to do the job? On other vehicles I have never seen so many parts for the spigot bearing. I asume its just there to remove and noise that could be heard from the bearing. Or is it there for a very good reason.
