    Rear Driveshaft interchangeability

So I've been looking at a lot of driveshafts recently.

I bought a 4/86 325ES shell to do a M50NV swap into and it only came with the front half of the driveshaft.

Of ALL of the driveshafts I've looked at online the rear length always looks the same.

My question is can I simply buy the rear half (regardless if it is an Auto or Manual) of a driveshaft and couple to mine, then have it balanced?

I'm almost tempted to just go try it but I really don't want to waste anymore money on this issue than is completely necessary.

    Thoughts?

If you're going to have it balanced I don't see why it wouldn't work! (assuming the front is the correct length of course).

I verified the front half matches the output flange of the late ETA G260 I already have. I was just about to order a new CSB. Auto drive shafts are super common so this would be muy bueno news.
