I'm stumped.
I have a 310 5 spd on an m50. It is full of redline mtl. The housing calls for atf, however it seems like many use redline mtl in these with no problem. When I park the car overnight or at work for 9 or so hours and then get in to leave it will not enter any gear's gate and engage. If forced and you get past a syncro it would grind. If you park on a hill and can roll 50 feet, then gear match to get going the problem goes away. Once driving and have shifted two or three gears, it acts perfectly fine and the problem only comes back after the car sits for a long time. Has anyone experienced this? I recently bought it, last night I got under it and to top off the mtl, thinking it could be dry, sure enough was full. Should I flush it for atf? That is my next recourse. Anyone else have "drying up" issues with redline mtl in a 310 calling for atf?
