help -_- tranmission swap 325i

so i just got a 90 325i but its automatic :sad: anyways i have a 5speed tranny from a 318i i was wondering if i can swap it onto the 325.? anythings i might need .>?
please help!!!

This guide assumes you're going to use the Getrag 260 transmission, which is what the m20 engines were originally mated to from the factory. I'm pretty sure all the four bangers used the Getrag 240, a smaller and weaker box. Still may bolt up, but I think you need the 4 cylinder driveshaft, flywheel, and all assorted clutch parts.
