    87 driveline replacement question

First off, thanks to forum members for any input. I appreciate all the help I can get :)

I recently had my CSB fail because of bad u joints. Also a bracket broke... My local Euro shop mechanic has a list of seals and bearings associated with the tranny and shifter to replace. I inspected it with him and have NO problem with the job and the $800 price tag.

What I DO have a problem with is the second part of the job- the driveline install. They want $800 for the driveline- which I know is from Portland driveline at a cost of $400... (I know because I called.) Plus labor for $1000+ total...

Should I do the driveline part myself? Would it be possible?... Just looking for answers.

It is not difficult to replace the drive shaft.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.
