Torque converter is driving me crazy

In the process of doing a 5 speed swap right now and this stupid TC got me stumped and lose more swap time :-x from what i have been seeing online either someone can use a 22mm to hold crankshaft in place or use a large screwdriver or prybar to hold the flexplate in place which i think would be the best way but i cant seem to grasp the idea on this... I get the idea of it its just i cant picture in my head how this will work? If someone can provide a picture or a drawing on how you suppose to lock the plate with a bar or screwdriver. If not i might just pry the whole thing off hehe

Should be a hole in the block that you can stick a screw driver into and through the flex plate. This will hold it in place. The hole is likely covered by a plastic/rubber plug and is located on the driver side.

But the torque converter (donut thing) is in the way for me to be able to slot a screwdriver through the plate though?

Btw the tranny is already off the car if that helps

i was removing it on the M50, and it helped to have a flat blade holing the center slot in the torque converter that is towards the transmission (bellhousing was removed however) and on the exhaust side there was a bit of an opening that could hold the 19mm bolts that held it on, but you have to do one then turn the converter and again and again. hold that helps, let me know if i can clarify. my experience is from an M50 though...

What is it exactly that youre trying to do? I just did the 5 speed swap myself about 7 months ago.

you can also reach the TQ converter from the bottom by removing the dust shield, using a large flathead to hold the flywheel and access the three pain in the ass bolts to get too. The converter will not be fun getting out but it will come out with some finessing.
