Drive Shaft Diameter

Does anyone know the outside diameter of the front half of the driveshaft in an e30 (closer to transmission)? Also, does it vary between models (318, 325, auto, manual)?

For those interested, a late model 318i front driveshaft measures 60mm (outside diameter).
