B&M Shifter

I see a majority if not all e30 guys are using the Z3/Z4 shifters but Im wondering if anyone has or had a B&M shifter? What are your thoughts. Was it short enough of a throw and did the selector rod need to be bent?

i dont have one but i think they have a little collar on it so it locates the pivot higher so you dont need to bend the rod
