    Driveshaft fitment :)

I have a question I hope you guys can help out with. At the moment I am running an m20b25 with the 260 trans from a 1989 325i and a small case 4.10 dif from a 91 318is. My question is, can I use a drive-shaft from an 87 325IS even with the small case diff I have? The only reason my current set up works is because I used one half from the 318is(the rear half) and the other from the 325i. As you can tell this created problems since they weren't balanced. I have been looking all over the place for someone with a similar set up, but no luck :(
I can't drive my e30 the way I like to due to the bad DS. I found one and want to pick it up this coming sunday, but I need to make sure it will fit first. HELP guys?!

The rear diff being small or medium case does not change anything related to the driveshaft length.

The 318iS rear half of the driveshaft is the same length as all non-iX E30s.

Yes the 87 325iS driveshaft will absolutely work if it's from a 5 speed car.
