    Tall or low gears

I just swapped an auto trans for a 5spd in a 91 vert.It has a 410lsd and its way too low gearing for hwy cruising. What makes more sense, 373,s or 346,s I have both available and was going with the taller 346 but my tech says that the 373,s would make more sense. I want a freeway cruiser but I don't want to bog around town.Anybody have some advice.??
