Do you have to remove exhaust and drive shaft on sheet metal console car to replace b

I have an 84 325. I want to replace all the shift lever bushings. It doesn't look like I can get at them from underneath with the drive shaft and exhaust in the way. can be done without taking those off?

Not sure about the driveshaft, but the exhaust will definitely need to be at least dropped down in the back and the heat shields removed.
