Figured I'd put it out here to see if anyone has input.
It started as a highway steering wheel vibration. I completely rebuilt the suspension, new CABs, CAs, mounts, sway bushings & links, and at this point all suspension wear items are new front and rear (rubber, not poly). Motor and trans mounts are new (oe rubber) and still look good.
Steering vibration is gone, but now I get a driveline vibration while accelerating beyond 3k rpm, and while engine braking from that speed. Seat-of-pants buzziness. The feeling is still there but not as bad when I just keep the speed constant while above 3k rpm, unless I'm in 5th gear on the highway at which point 3k+ (75mph+) feels rough and I can't bear it.
I thought it might be the giubo/CSB but they still look new (about 4-5k miles on them). Driveshaft was properly assembled, u-joints felt fine. I went a few thousand miles on the driveline setup without having or noticing this feeling. Could the driveshaft be bad, without tearing up the giubo and CSB?
I'm changing wheels, and I re-preloaded the CSB to see how that helps.
Rear subframe bushings, despite being 4-5k miles old, look like they are coming un-pressed from the subframe and allowing slop. Maybe this is the issue? No clunks or anything like that. Could it be the flywheel? Help!
