I use this stuff in my S2000 that sees track time about 1 once a month.
I decided to change the diff fluid in my '88 325is. It didn't like this stuff. I got all sorts of rubbing sounds and could feel the vibrations doing low speed turns. The car felt fine in a straight line both on the gas, off the gas, accelerating/decelerating.
I then switched to Mobil 1 Synthetic Lubricant Gear Oil LS 75w90 (i was looking for Redline, but autozone didn't carry it and I didn't feel like driving to my normal fluids place). The car feels much better now with only very light rubbing sounds doing tight turns at slow speeds - no vibration or harshness.
Is Redline Lightweight Shockproof Gear Oil incompatible with our diffs? It works great on my S2000, which has 84K miles and over 30+ track days on it.
