Today when I started my car, I noticed a light whirring sound that went away when I put the clutch in. When I released it, it would come back, but went away altogether after less than a minute. Anyone have any ideas?

My guess is the throwout bearing is starting to go. It will make alot more noise as it gets worse. -

you'd need to rebuild the tranny pretty much, or something, but the noise isn't even an "issue"Comment
