    Motor and tranny pulling question

I'm goin to pull my motor and my tranny. Am I able to pull the motor and tranny out at the same time(attached) thorugh the engine bay? Cause i am renting a jack and was wondering if i could do this cause it would make life easier.

Yes, but you will need more than a jack - unless you're tlaking an engine hoist?

If you have a hoist, you'll also need a load balancer, as you will need to tilt the tranny + the engine a pretty large amount to get them out together. f course - dont forget to disconnect the driveshaft, and other stuff connected to the tranny! ;)

IMO, this is the only way to do it if you don't have a lift. You can make do without a load leveler, but it certainly makes things easier.

I didn't use any kind of load balance or counterweight or anything. My hoist has long, fold-up legs on it though.

Don't forget to disconnect (because I did):
ground cable connected to oil pan on driver's side
        hydraulic clutch line
reverse switch on passenger side of transmission (for manual)
