    -Diff tag

    -Well, it reads: 4.10.9251
    -Surely I don't have a 4.10 diff! What else could this mean?

    You're probably reading the wrong one. It's a small piece of flat metal that will have "X,XX" stamped into it. In Europe they use commas to separate numbers when we would use a period.

      -I found the tag on the upper right-hand side, attached with on of the diff cover bolts. I accualy had to take it off and clean it good to read it.

        Sounds like that's it.

            -Yeah, first gear is useless with 170 lb-ft and a 5400 rpm redline....

            -When I first test-drove it, I was so afraid of sloting the shfter into reverse I started, from a dead start, in third. It'll do it!

            -Baby tops out at 110mph, and it'll get there in a hurry.

              -Well, the motor turns about 3400 rpm at 70mph in fifth, and I've been informed (by e30matt) that I most likely have a 4.10 rear-end
