Did I get the correct transmission

I purchased a used Getrag 260 to rebuild, then swap with my original transmission(86 325e mfg. 11/85).

The "new" transmission is marked #260.0.1270.90 on the bell housing and #2600.10691 on the rear of the transmission.

After doing some research I am now completely confused. Before I start to rebuild this, can anyone tell me if I have the proper transmission for my car?

    Thanks

    I'm pretty sure that's right.
    And after a quick Google:

This is actually pretty easy. The numbers say that it is a Getrag 260. The next check would be to see if it has the sensor holes for the ETA timing reference sensors. If it has those the transmission is correct for your car.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.
