My clutch pedal today went soft but the whole mechanism still works. I noticed after I power washed the engine bay today that the clutch pedal was a lot easier to push than before. I have had a squeaky clutch for a long time and I have ignored it and wondered if anything serious is on it's way. It is freaking cold here in Colorado so the clutch noise is louder.
Weird clutch feeling

Did you check the fluid level in the resovoir? Check the carpet above the Pedals for wet spots too!
When my clutch got air in the system, I couldn't find any leaks, and the fluid level was fine. What happened was the internal seal of the slave cylinder blew, and it was pushing fluid into the rubber boot. But the fluid wasn't leaving the boot. So the pedal was soft, and eventually the car became undrivable, but there was no visible leak. Ended up replacing both the master and slave cylinders. Pain in the ass!! -
