hey guys, i have the z4 3.0 shit lever new cup new washers and a new bushing where the carrier connects to the tranny, i also have a good deal of shiter play, what should i do to tighten this up?
could the rear bushing be shot?

Good chance. The one on the 87 es I sold was GONE - no bushing remained. Made it hard to find any gears at all.

Crawl under and have someone move the gears - you'll easily be able to see if the rear end of the shift carrier arm is moving. If it is - that's the issue :up:
