    Rebuild Kit @ '1989 325i Auto Transmission

Anyone know of any auto trans kit for a rebuild? I believe it might be ZF HP22.
The trans seal, filter were replaced twice before, and it started leaking again. The forward clutches are gone, RPMs are @3500-4000 then starts to move very slow. I have another trans, but not sure if it's any good. I will check the trans pans for shavings. I just hate to do this work over again to no avail.
    Thanks, gt50lou@yahoo.com

its a gm trans so somebody makes rebuild parts for it but honestly just swapping it out is the easier way to do it, 5speed swaps are cheap and auto transmissions even cheaper, why have the car down for however long it takes you to rebuild it when you could just r&r it and have the car back on the road for cheap

I've seen this before - might not be the trans per se. Is the kickdown cable properly tight? The stator in the converter could be bad too. If you know of a good trans I'd swap that in with a known good converter if the kickdown cable tension is good.

Thanks fellas for the info. I'll try and see if the stator is good. I believe the kick down cable is tight. I'm not at home to check.
