    m20 clutch options

S52 powered e30. Currently running a 12lb e21 m20 flywheel with an oem e30 325i sachs clutch kit. Car is a daily driver with a few autocross and maybe a trackday or two per year. Transmission is a Getrag 260 and rear end is going to be a fresh rebuilt 3.73 LSD.

I am looking to replace the lightweight flywheel with a stock m20 19lb single-mass and machining to clear for the S52. What options are there for upgraded holding power? The sachs seems to be holding up fine and I could likely have no issues using one again (currently have a hard 20,000KM and two autocross days on it). I am not interested in an over-aggressive feel and would prefer as close to oem as possible. I have just replaced the starter motor and all other components keeping with m20 parts, so I am not willing to re-buy everything to go with an e36 setup.

I am considering the UUC performance organic m20 clutch
CHOOSE CLUTCH TYPE:: UUC Performance Organic; UUC Segmented Kevlar; UUC 6-puck ceramic; UUC 9-button cerametallic.

or something cheaper like the f1 racing stage 2. Does anyone have any other alternatives?

Call Jim at Tampaclutch.com. I am building a very similar S52 setup with M20 flywheel and he made me a custom clutch with organic material on the front and metallic pucks on the other side for around $150 IRC. I also had him add strapping to a stock M20 pressure plate just be safe. I haven't driven the setup yet, but am impressed by his work at very nice price points.

Thank your for the opinion, I will look into that option.

At the moment I have found SPEC clutches and it seems like the e30 325i stage1 is rated at 311 ft/lbs. This seems to be quite promising and the price is very reasonable, I will likely end up going this route.
