PLEASE HELP: New Gearbox and tailshaft

Hi everyone,

Ive currently got a '86 BMW 325e (sedan) and Ive just put the engine back in after swapping for a new short ratio gearbox, and I've basically completed hooking everything up, however the tailshaft seems to be too short (by a fair distance) to connect the new box to the diff, any ideas and help would be much appreciated!

what box did you go from and what did you swap to?

different length tailshafts for auto's, different length tailshafts for 320i's, 323i's and 325i's.

It's a manual, and Im not near enough to it at the moment to know exactly which box's I swapped between, what else would you like to know

General though? unless you are swapping for exact the same box, going to need a tailshaft to match it.
