Difference between pressure plates (see pic)

I have an 87 325e. I had assumed it had a dual mass flywheel so I bought a new dual mass pressure plate. It looks different than what was in the car previously. Did I assume wrong?

The one on the left looks like a Sachs pressure plate and the one on the right looks like a LUK pressure plate. If there the same diameter either one will work, there just different designs/Brands.

I cant say about the one on the left but the right is a Sachs. The diameters are the same but the plate itself has a larger surface on the Sachs if that makes sense. Will that affect my clutch choice and work with the dual mass flywheel?

one on the left looks like the sachs one I just took off a 323i. Probably just an older design. Some of these things have been on motors for 25 years or more, so you can expect slight changes in production.
