Question for you 5 speed swappers

How the hell did you align the clutch?

The reason for my asking is that the block for my build came out of an auto and doesn't have the recess for the alignment tool to fit in:

    Auto crank

    Manual crank

    Any insight?

    Are you new at this?

The cranks are the same, the auto one does not have a pilot bearing installed as it does not use one. Install pilot bearing, done.

Lets just say i got a handful of wrong information thats put me through many stages of panic. Pilot bearing is sitting on my table staring at me asking "why swanny, why?

Can always appreciate r3vs gentle nudge back to common sense.

There are 2 types of pilot bearings, one has a dust shield over bearings between inner and outer races and the other doesn't. The one that doesn't requires a oil lubrication "ring" and dust cover.
