Hello guys im test fitting my car for a new drive shaft (6.0L swap) and noticed that the diff flange does not line up through the center of the subframe. Is this normal or maybe something specific to 318/small case diffs?

Yea I ran into the same thing when doing my rear subframe bushings and rtabs, I didnt look at it before removal and when I put it back together I was a little weirded out but soon realized the offset was normal.Comment

The pinion engages the ring gear from one side. It is offset from center so the diff housing can be compact and centered.Lorin
