    Trans brace bolts

I have a 1990 325is and I am having issues removing the trans brace. One of the bolts from the body of the car that goes to the trans brace spins with the nut as I try and loosen the nut from this bolt. I have not had any sucess finding this bolt for sale. Does anyone know where I can get this bolt?

The #7 bolt sounds like what I need. I know the bolt is square headed because I was able to remove the other bolt. But the brace from the exploded view you posted is different than the brace on my car. My cars trans brace has 4 bolt hole in it total 2 for the trans bushings and 2 for the square headed bolts that hold the brace to the car.

Some of the drawings in RealOEM and bmwfans are generic. Also, it calls out for a quantity of 2, which is correct. Just Google the P/N for #7, its the correct one.

They lock in, then you gotta press on the bolt to keep it still while you get the nut off.

It's kinda tricky, but easy once you get the hang of it.

Thanks for your help guys. My car actually has 4 of these bolts hanging from the underside to support the trans mount from the exploded view above but the trans mount my car came with is only designed to utalize 2 of the bolts. To get my trans back in place I ordered 2 of those bolts seeing as the 4 bolts under the car are rusted to shit... thanks Michigan.

The other 2 bolts are probably for the OEM aero duct/plate.
