Hey guys;

Does anyone have a DIY or some how to for getting the seals and bearings replaced in my G260? It's got that FUCKING ANNOYING Getrag Rattle and I need to get rid of it.

This is my second trans in this car and both had it. I don't want to swap a third without a refresh on these wear items.

Also: anyone got P/Ns?

I don't know of a DIY for this, but you can bet on there being similar wear elsewhere in the transmission. What would make the most sense would be a rebuilt transmission. Which can be had for $100-1200. But understand that if you have a lightweight flywheel, there will be rattle even with a freshly rebuilt transmission.

My flywheel is a stock 325i flywheel, with a few thousandths of an inch machined off the back. (to allow clearance for the M50 oil pan)
