    G260 input shaft play... excessive?

took a video of my Getrag 260's input shaft play. there is almost no in/out play, but the side/side or up/down play seems like it might be excessive. watch the video, and if you would, tell me what you think, if you have knowledge of such things.

so, i sorta answered my own question. found some other forums with responses to similar questions, and even a video with shaft play similar to mine. consensus is that it is acceptable, due to the fact that that end is fully supported by the pilot bearing.

That is more play than I'd like to have as it may be enough to cause "getrag rattle" when the car is idling, the transmission in neutral, and the clutch engaged. But otherwise that degree of wear is acceptable.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.
