Drive Shaft Front Piece Length

Hello guys .
See I finished My Engine Build Yesterday .
and I swapped my transmission to getrag 260
now my drive shaft is almost 4cm longer ,
my car had a getrag 240 320i transmission .

what is the length of the front piece of the 325i drive shaft .

I am thinking about taking it to the driveshaft lathe and he'll do the shorten thing for me .
but if I can find the short one in a reconditioned condition , I will buy it .

Tell me what is the length and i'll start the hunt .

loosen the locking ring on the driveshaft and see if you can shorten it enough. There is quite a length of splined area, I think you'll be fine just to slide it forward and shorten it up.

Na It's Cool mate , it needed to be shortened More ,
I had to Take Away 4cm , and I guess 3cm were supposed to be cut off at the driveshaft technician Lathe .
but still the splined area is still long enough to keep the driveshaft attached well .

The 260/5 sport transmission is 3 cm longer than my Old 240 . I had to change the shifting Rod and also the shifter bridge/bracket .
