5 speed swap, 91 e30 need FAQ/DIY

I ran across someone who has a 91 325i, its an auto but it needs a new drive shaft and the u joints in the rear diff area are no good as well.
I wanted to buy it, and do a 5 speed swap.
Where do I start, what materials will be needed to correct the drive shaft issues and do the swap?
Also how much money will it take?

I know there is no exact answers but I am looking for an idea at least.

you got to get a whole driveshaft from manual donor car anyway, so don't worry about u joints now.
Cheapest way is to buy all the parts from a donor manual car locally. Conversion is very easy once you have all the parts.
