Late Model (7/89 build) which driveshaft

I need to replace the driveshaft in my '90 325is (manual)

Pelican says there are 2 possible drive shafts, one is threaded and one is not. Is there any way to tell which one I need without dropping the driveshaft out?

Any 5 speed M20 driveshaft will work as long as it's not the rare 87 large guibo version.

If you use an 87 and earlier shaft you'll need to swap to a late model CSB.
