    What is this bearing?

I just picked up my 5 speed and found this bearing on the end of it... I can't get it out without a press and I can't put it on without first removing it.. What is this thing and where would it be installed?

It's from an '86 535i by the way..

Pilot bearing that usually goes in and stays in the motor side. Makes sure it is perfectly centered, you should be able to tap it off that shaft easily.
