Is my diff bad? Video inside

Hey heres a video of where the driveshaft connects to the diff. its in my e30 325i. Im going to try replacing the fluid tomorrow but does this sound like a bad bearing in the diff? Theres a little play in the U joint of the drive shaft too. What of you think??

Sorry if this is in the wrong section.

A little of both lol but the noise from the diff is pretty loud! I was taking a look around online and I guess it would be the bearing right where the driveshaft connects

Set the car up like you did in the video and have a mechanics' stethoscope equipped. Before that though, use the stethoscope to listen to your alternator or power steering bearings to get a good idea of what a 'good' bearing will sound like (should be like a "hum" or a "whirring" noise). Then put the stethoscope on the input flange of the diff to see what it sounds like. If the bearing's bad it'll kind of sound like something's grinding, like maybe coffee beans in a grinder or something similar.

          Use this to diagnose further.
