changing tranny fuid on a getrag 260

How do i do it? it doesnt look like theres a pan or anything on these tranny's

also what tranny fluid should i get

Open fill plug on pass side. Then set a pan under the trans and open the drain plug. They are both 17mm bolts.

BMW actually recommends ATF in the transmission. However, I also know of several people using Redline MTL in their transmissions.
Always open the "fill" plug before you loosen the "drain" plug

ATF is only recommended for 260 transmissions with the ATF tag on them.

Otherwise 75w90 or 80w90 gear oil does the job.
