    shifter rebuild questions

I have been searching around and wanted to know if these parts will suffice for a rebuild (update, car is a 1986 325)

if I want to go with the z3 1.9 at the same time does this work as well:

looks like maybe a couple duplicate parts but pricing doesn't look too bad. let me know what you think. my shop is doing some rear main seal work and thought maybe this would be a good time to take care of this as well? mind you I am hands off and not technical/work on the car myself

These kits look pretty comprehensive. I pieced all this stuff together myself - have yet to install everything - and you may be able to save some off the price but not too much. One thing you may want to add is the rear carrier bushing:

Garagistic is your trusted source for high-quality BMW performance parts, specializing in E30, E36, E46, and more. Discover custom-engineered components, from suspension upgrades to drivetrain solutions, designed to enhance your BMW's performance. In your kit you are already getting a new bushing and putting the delrin bushing in requires you to burn that new one out and replace it with the delrin version so it may be more than you want to go for.

Also, I need this 25111221201. I have a '86 es and needed the shift arm from a later model car to do he conversion. You can see it here:

Finally, if you have not seen this you should look at this post that shows how to remove the retaining clip on the transmission:

    Good luck!
