    Master Cylinder out?

I have been driving fine for the last few months except for some minor downshifting issues like not going into 2nd at around 25mph when downshifting, but would go in at 20mph fine. Other than that no slipping or anything of that nature. This morning I drove the car fine until I was leaving the store and the car would not go into 3rd or 4th. I managed to get it into 5th but pulled over as soon as possible. I maybe thought the clutch disc was bad but when I start the car in 1st gear it will move forward so I am assuming the disc is fine. Also, when I put the car in neutral it sometimes stays in gear as if it is not disengaging.

Possibly the Clutch Master Cylinder? Sorry if my description was not very clear.

Sounds like the trans itself is going bad.

There is a good chance that the clutch master is bad, but check the slave and solft lines for leaks. When I replace a master (or slave) I always replace both with new OE/OEM parts.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

I replaced the slave about a year ago but I did notice a drop every other day coming from the bell housing area (where the bellhousing meets the engine). When I had someone push in the clutch and I listened underneath, I could hear what sounded like air in the system. Is it possible for the master cylinder to go bad but not leak inside the car or lose any fluid?
