automatic transmission oil, ok to re use?

So my transmission went out and would not want to shift into drive or reverse. I did an oil and filter change to see if that fix the problem but still would not work. So I'm wondering if I can drain it out and re use it when I put in another known working transmission.

Since the fluid could be contaminated from the dead transmission, it makes no sense to reuse it.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

NO, stuff is cheap enough to replace. One of the reasons I wouldn't buy a used oil cooler.

What's in it? metal contaminants? you never know.

Not a really good idea to reuse it .

Ok cool. Yeah I wasn't going to use it but just wanted to know if it was a option... Thanks!
